3 Signs It’s Time To Resole Your Shoes

Leather Shop Repair in Central Arkansas

Here at Wildt Leather, we handle leather product repairs and even resoles of your favorite pair of cowboy boots. Resoling is crucial when it comes to ensuring that your shoes live a longer “life”. It’s also not near as complicated as you might think. But, there are some things you need to keep an eye on to determine when it’s officially time to get them resoled.

Here are 3 signs it’s time to bring your shoes in for new soles at Wildt Leather.

1. Your sole is split into two pieces. You’ve most likely seen this before on old worn out shoes. The sole completely separates from the top part of the shoe. In more ways than one, your shoes are literally yelling at you “It’s time to resole!” The good news is that this is an easy fix and can easily be resolved with a new sole to bring your favorite pair of shoes back to life.

2. Your leather soles are thinning. It may be hard to tell with the naked eye but when you put your shoes on and can literally feel the pavement on the bottom of your soles, it’s definitely time for a new sole replacement.

3. Your soles are showing uneven wear on the bottom. Everyone walks different and applies pressure differently on their feet and the first signs show on the soles of your shoes. If you don’t end up getting them repaired, you could suffer from ankle or calf pain, so be sure to get this resolved as soon as possible to avoid any physical pain or issues.

These are just a few common signs, but if you’ve got worn out old soles and feel like it may be time to replace them, call us at Wildt Leather or bring them by the shop. We’ll be happy to help get you all taken care of.

Remember, if it’s a Wildt…it’ll LAST!
